Palace Hotel Proserpine: New Liquor and Gaming Application

As part of a Commercial Hotel and Gaming Machine application being submitted to the Office of Liquor and Gaming (OLGR) for the Palace Hotel Proserpine, RSA Liquor Professionals have been engaged to conduct Community Consultation on behalf of the applicant to accompany the application.

The (formerly heritage-listed) Commercial Hotel has been without a Liquor and Gaming licence since it closed after suffering significant roof and internal damage as a result of Cyclone Debbie.

At the time that the licence lapsed in 2017, the Hotel had approval for 10 Gaming Machines and approved liquor trading hours (known to date back to at least the 1970s) which included:

  • 10:00 am to 12 midnight – Sunday to Wednesday; and
  • 10:00 am to 2:00 am – Thursday to Saturday.

The applicant is seeking to reinstate the Commercial Hotel and Gaming Machine licenses with identical licensed trading hours approvals and conditions.

Community Consultation plays an important role in assessing the possible impacts that the application may have on the local community, so we are inviting you to complete a short survey regarding the possible impacts that the application may have should it be granted.

The information that you provide will assist us in identifying any social issues in the community, along with any impacts (social or otherwise) that the application might have should it be granted.
