As part of a Commercial Hotel application being submitted to the Office of Liquor and Gaming (OLGR) for The Station 4703, situated at the former Yeppoon Railway Station on James Street, Yeppoon, RSA Liquor Professionals have been engaged to prepare a Community Impact Statement on behalf of the applicant to accompany the application.
The application includes extended trading hours until 2 am (Monday to Sunday), and services at the proposed venue will include Bar, Indoor and Outdoor Dining, Functions, Amplified Entertainment, and Retail Liquor. This applicant proposes to re-purpose the Heritage Listed Yeppoon Railway Station into a large indoor and outdoor Bar, Restaurant and Public Parklands. Much of the existing station building and platform will be retained and revitalised, along with the addition of a new amenities structure, carriage bar, stage and large outdoor dining area extending out from the existing platform.
The purpose of the Community Impact Statement is to assess the likely social and economic impacts of the application on the local community to assist the commissioner in deciding whether the application should be granted. Community consultation plays an important role in assessing the possible impacts that the application may have on the local community, so we are inviting you to complete a short survey regarding the possible impacts that the application may have should it be granted.
All findings from this survey will be published in the final Community Impact Statement document submitted to OLGR and will not be used for any purpose other than the completion of the document outlined above.
